So much for the assertions that Maliki's earlier comments calling for a timeline for withdrawal were mistranslated... even Pravda on the Hudson has called bullshit on that one.

Well, that and Der Spiegel has a policy of allowing interview subjects the opportunity to proofread and "correct" interviews before they appear. So, if it was indeed a "misquote," then Maliki failed to correct it twice.
