Idiot of the day

RNC Chairman Michael Steele:

Not in the history of mankind has the government ever created a job.
Ooookay. So the policeman patrolling my neighborhood doesn't have a job? And my mother, who recently retired on a state pension after working for the state as a nurse in a state nursing home, didn't have a job? And the contractors who recently re-paved the street in front of my apartment complex, they weren't working a job?

Congratulations, Republican Party. You've just elected the only person amongst your ranks who makes Joe the Plumber and Caribou Barbie look like geniuses.

  1. What about Steele's job?

  2. Well, his current job is privately funded by a private organization (the Republican Party USA). But you're right, he was previously Lt. Governor of Maryland. Was that a job, or did he just stay home eating cheetos in his basement?

  3. Let's not get into the jobs of firemen, policemen, teachers, road builders, etc. that are created by government. That's too fucking easy. But what about the factory that makes the Tasers that the cops use to stun people with? What about the publishing companies that print books for use at those socialist schools? What about the drug companies that sell overpriced drugs to government hospitals? Are there no jobs there? And the jobs of the people at the McDonalds outside the factories that make Tasers, books and drugs. And on and on.

    God-DAMN! are Repiglickins ever stupid...
