Over 500,000 jobs lost in January

The U.S. is on track to lose another 6,000,000 jobs by the end of the year, which would raise the unemployment rates to Great Depression levels. Can we call it a Depression now?

And the Republicans fiddle... and propose policies that are absolutely insane, while Harry Reid tries to remember which denture box he left his balls in rather than scheduling a vote. Gah! The stupid, it burns, it burns!

  1. I foolishly thought that " we " won the election ! Hah ! I actually began to believe " they " might actually get something done . Especially with the economy since it figured so highly during the election . The ' game ' of politics triumphs , again . See ya in the soup line ...

  2. How is it that more tax cuts are the answer, when tax cutting was all that seemed to happen for the previous 8 years? I do not understand this reasoning. If I did not know better, it would almost seem as if the GOP wanted the economy to keep declining, so that people would vote for them in 2010 and 2012.
