The Yank Foreign Legion

Apparently tens of thousands of foreigners are serving in the U.S. military in order to obtain citizenship. Hmm. I seem to recall another nation that did this. And that really turned out well, didn't it?

  1. And that doesn't include the mercs. There were about 5 out of 65 guys in my basic training flight who were going that route.

    It wasn't a good plan for the Romans, but VD-H probably thinks it's great.

  3. I wanted to join the French Foreign Legion as a kid.

    Catching a slow boat to Europe, and leaving my troubles behind me for wine, women, and fighting. . .
