HA! Stella has a stereo much like that one; now she wants a black cat to pose atop it.

So put the tabby on top of the stereo, rub its chin and ears until it's sitting down and purring, step back, SNAP! That's how I trained TMF to pose. He knows that posing gets him a kitteh massage, to the point where when he desires a kitteh massage, he jumps on top of the stereo, poses, and waits for me to notice him and give him his massage. Though once I step back and take the picture, he jumps off the stereo fairly quickly...
