Why does President Obama hate democracy?

President Obama said that Rep. Weiner should resign. Err... forgive me for thinking this, but I thought we no longer had kings or rulers deciding such things in America? I thought that the folks who decide whether a politician should stay or go are the voters, not unelected pundits of the media or the President? The voters in Rep. Weiner's district, not GOP pundits or the President, are in charge. If they want Weiner gone, it will happen -- maybe not today, or tomorrow, but by the end of the primary season next year Weiner will either be gone or will be the Democratic nominee for his house seat. It's called DEMOCRACY, and it's not only a good idea, it's the law.

I swear, between the GOP's hatred of democracy (true democracy -- rule of the majority, for the benefit of the majority -- scares them shitless, thus why they do so much voter caging to prevent people from voting) and the Democrats's hatred of democracy, it's a wonder we're not living in Stalinist Russia.

  2. It would be nice if Obama had shown even an inkling, before this, of attempting to lead or steer the Democratic party in any way. This is how he chooses to start?

Hah, Duff. "Marxist socialist"... that was a pretty good imitation of one of those ignorant, racist, asshole baggers, but you need at least a dozen spelling and grammar mistakes in each paragraph. And caps lock.

  4. Reminder: fact-free talking points get deleted. See posting rules. If there are any facts to support the notion that Obama is in any way anything other than a crony capitalist run by Wall Street whose principle goal is to enrich banker cronies of the banker grandfather who raised him, feel free to post them, but I have seen no such facts in evidence. No facts = deleted comment.

  5. The quote was:
"If I were him, I would resign."

Don't base quotes on headlines, please.

  7. Somebody needs to read past posts on my blog, which have plenty of facts about Obama favoring bankers at the expense of Main Street America. I consider links to fact-free talking point publications to be the same as directly posting fact-free talking points, and delete them too.

  11. I doubt the Big O hates democracy anywhere near as much as the Rethugs do. He is an opportunist, and probably just indifferent to it.

Anyway, Obama offered an opinion during an interview, he did not issue an executive order, nor did he directly say what TEH WEENIE ought to do or not do.

Though I called for his resignation, that, too is just an opinion. I agree the decision is between Weenie and his constituents.

    Cheers!
