Not going anywhere

Rose Elinor Dougal is "Just Hanging Around". This one doesn't appear to be on her first album, Without Why. But she has a new album coming out shortly...

  1. Good set of pipes, and I'm guessing she doesn't use autotune.

Song didn't move me though. Didn't seem to go anywhere.

    Cheers!

  2. Heh. Yeah, it was just some standard boy-girl Brit-pop. Rose was the lead singer for a group called the Pipettes, which basically tried to do a 60's girl-group sound, before deciding to head off on her own to do something a bit more... expansive. She's pulled in some additional elements, but she's still coming from the same place.

This is not her best song. Unfortunately finding good performances of her songs on YouTube is not easy, they all seem to be crappy cell phone camera videos that should be banned as ear abuse, sigh.
