Righteous angel

Martha Scanlan is usually categorized as "Newgrass" or "Bluegrass", but that's a rather odd categorization. This is old-time country. OLD-time country.

"Guardian Angel", off her new series of songs Tongue River Stories that presumably will be on an album someday but right now appears available only via digital download. Hmm. Lot of that goin' around recently...

  1. BT, bein of the "country" persuasion I found that I found Martha Scanlan to make me yearn for "Good Ole Country". I ran across a group about a year ago, that I find amazing every time I hear them play. The go by the name of "The Carolina Chocolate Drops", I think that you will enjoy their music also...

Thanks much for providing a platform for many artists that are for the most part completely unknown..
