Dead children

Scroll down and look at the pictures. This is what happens when the second most powerful military on the planet (second only to that of the U.S.) attacks an entirely unarmed society. How the hell can blowing up little girls and unarmed longshoremen at the port be "self defense"?

I feel sorry for poor Raed. He fled war-torn Iraq to peaceful Lebanon, where everybody was so sincere and so eager to embrace peace, only to find that he was in the crosshairs of #2 rather than #1...

I suppose he could get to Jordan eventually. Once the Israelis quit bombing the road between Beirut and Syria, that is. Because that fish truck being driven by the old woman was actually, like, weapons of mass (olfactory) destruction, y'know? And besides, she was old. She didn't have many years to go anyhow. I'm sure she's grateful that she got put out of her misery early...

  1. Did you have any pictures of the 1000's of dead people that Hizballah and Hamas have killed over the last several years with their unconscionable suicide bombings?

Did you have any pictures of the 1000's of dead people that al Qaeda and other Iraqi terrorists have killed over the last several years with their unconscionable suicide bombings?

Did you take into consideration that Hizballah deliberately places civilians in danger? So far Israel's bombs have taken the lives of maybe 300 civilians, but even these are the fault of Hizballah, through their incessant attempt to destroy freedom of not only Israelis, but Lebanese as well.

The difference between America/Israel versus the terrorists is that the America/Israel try to inflict the least amount of damage possible while taking out the enemy, while the terrorists kill innocent people on purpose.

Why are Israel and America to blame? We and they started nothing.

  2. So go after Hizballah and Hamas. I don't think anybody has any problem with that, other than some asshat Jew hater types.

The problem is, Israel is not going after Hizballah and Hamas. They're going after civilians. There was not a single Hizballah guerilla at the Beirut airport when Israel burned it to a cinder, incinerating dozens of airport workers. There was not a single Hizballah guerilla at the Beiruit port when Israel burned it to a cinder, incinerating dozens of dock workers.

I'm sorry, there's just no excuse for that kind of nonsense. I don't care whether it's Hizballah or Israel doing it, attacking civilian targets in a nation which has not attacked your nation is just plain *WRONG*.

As for Hizballah attempting to "destroy the freedom of Israelis" -- What a bunch of proaganda bullshit. Hizballah is bad because of what they do, not because of some kinda propaganda bullshit about what they'd *like* to do. I judge a man by what he does, not by what he says. Because what a man says is either bullshit or lies, 99% of the time.

Hizballah does bad things. So go after Hizballah. But Hizballah wasn't at the port of Beiruit. Hizballah wasn't in the dozens of apartment towers in Beirut that Israel has demolished. Hizballah wasn't in the hospital at Tyre that is now missing a wing that Israel bombed and destroyed despite the prominent Red Cross on its roof. Attempting to blame Hizballah for an Israeli bomb landing in those places is just plain bullshit, a lie, and an excuse for savagery that has no place in the modern world. Israel arose as a response to Adolph Hitler's evil. Unfortunately, Israel has apparently decided that Hitler was a great model, at least when it comes to punishing entire nations because a few idiot guerillas decided to kidnap a couple of Israeli soldiers.

Congratulations, Israel. You have now become that which you hate.

  3. Let's see. I haven't been able to find any figures on the Lebanese, but I have on the Palestinians...

1,084 Israelis and 4,064 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000.

7,633 Israelis and 30,376 Palestinians have been injured since September 29, 2000

The U.S. gives $15,139,178 per day to the Israeli government and military and $232,290 per day to Palestinian NGO’s.

Israel has been targeted by at least 65 UN resolutions and the Palestinians have been targeted by none.

1 Israeli is being held prisoner by Palestinians, while 9,599 Palestinians are currently imprisoned by Israel.

0 Israeli homes have been demolished by Palestinians and 4,170 Palestinian homes have been demolished by Israel since September 29, 2000.

60+ new Jewish-only settlements have been built on confiscated Palestinian land between March 2001 and July 11, 2003. There have been 0 cases of Palestinians confiscating Israeli land and building settlements.

That might be an indication of why Israel is to blame. Not entirely, but it is definitely no innocent bystander.

    But this is all propaganda.

The US provides Israel with much of the means to occupy the territories. whether it is economic or political, without the US clout, Israel would not be able to do what they do. This is without mentioning what "good friends" the Israeli govt has been to us.

As far as kids go... here's an interesting set of photos that were emailed to me.

  4. My point is that they are not wilfully attacking civilian targets. They are attacking Hizballah targets which purposefully on the part of Hizballah are insinuated so closely into civilian areas that attacking them, even with 'smart bombs', will cause civilians casualties.

I think this is Hizballah's intention, and at any rate, their fault, not Israels.

Who's to say that Hizballah themselves haven't killed or injured some of the Lebanese civilians themselves? Terrorists have never been averse to the wanton taking of innocent life before. At the very least it would make a great propaganda piece if they can make it look like it happened as a result of Israeli bombs.

  5. Bull fucking shit, you goddamned liar. There were no Hizbollah targets at the Beirut airport. There were no Hizbollah targets at the Beirut port. There were no Hizbollah targets at the 800 apartment towers in south Beiruit that Israel *DELIBERATELY* targetted. According to Reuters, Israel's Air Force chief ordered that ten Beirut apartment towers be destroyed for every rocket that landed in Haifa, despite the fact that there was not a single Hezbollah target anywhere in those apartment towers. I've seen the pictures, liar. I've seen the pictures. There was nothing there but apartment towers, now turned to rubble. There was nothing there but a port and an airport, with bodies of crispy longshoremen and airport workers lying there dead. These were civilian targets, deliberately targetted by Israel. I've seen the pictures and you are a god-damned liar.

There was not a single military target * ANYWHERE * in Beirut. The "Hezbollah" infrastructure targetted there was hospitals, clinics, and soup kitchens. Attacking Beirut with missiles and fire bombs was a war crime just as bad as Hezbollah firing rockets at Haifa -- which, I might add, they didn't do until after Israel dropped its first bombs onto Beirut.

Israel deliberately started this war after a couple of their soldiers were captured either inside Lebanon, or close enough to the border as to make it easy to mistake which side they were on. Israel was the first to deliberately target a large city on either side of the war. I have no sympathy -- *NONE* -- for Israel in this conflict. They have acted as vicious lying war criminals, as murdering bastards every bit as evil and despicable as the Hizbollah terrorists that they claim they're going after while they bomb Lebanon to rubble, and I will say that flat out. And if you support these criminals, you are either an despicable evil son of a bitch, or the stupidest bastard who ever walked this land. Am I making myself clear, lying asshole?!

  6. From what I've read, the airport and other major infrastructure items were bombed in an effort to reduce the amount of resupply that Hizballah was getting from Syria and Iran.

I'm trying not to be closed minded about this. That's why I like your blog. It gives me a different perspective. I even followed one of scroff's links today, and it was very interesting. I'm not sure, if it's true (and it appears to be), why Israeli soldiers would go into Arab settlements and use children for target practice, even if the bullets are rubber. It's plain wrong.

Therefore, I'm not sure how you can call me a liar? (That gives me a lot more prestige than I deserve.) I'm researching the news just like you, albeit from a different perspective.

  7. Uhm, if you want to bomb the airport where Hezbollah gets its supplies, it's still there, fully intact, right over there in Damascus.

Bombing Lebanon's airport because Hezbollah is getting supplies from Syria's airport is just plain sick.

As for believing anything that anybody says about this conflict, I think they're all liars, and I rely on my own two eyes and various independent sources. You'll note, for example, that I did *NOT* state that the two Israeli soldiers captured by Hezbollah were captured inside the borders of Lebanon. I do not know that. Both sides are liars, so I'd have to be stupid or a liar myself to believe either side. I *WILL* say that both Hezbollah's armed branch and the IDF had reason to provoke the other side in order to head off that nasty "peace" stuff that was happening in Lebanon. Which one jumped first is almost irrelevant. Both Hezbollah and Israel's current government need a state of war, a state of seige, in order to convince their respective populances that "you are under attack and we are the people you need to defend you!" (H.L. Mencken's first rule of practical politics, look it up). Peace would have ruined all their plans.

About the only truth I do know is that bombing a peaceful unarmed city because a few hundred hotheads in the south, with Syrian support, did some nasty things, is a moral atrocity. If you have a problem with those hotheads, go after those hotheads and, for that matter, after their Syrian supporters. But that poor crisped longshoreman at the Beiruit port, body charcoaled except for one bluejean-clad leg with a work boot on its foot, never fired a rocket at Israel, never knew anybody who fired a rocket at Israel, and there was no Hezbollah installation at the port, as you should have very well known when you claimed that Israel only targetted Hezbollah installations and thus the civilian damage was Hezbollah's fault for putting said installations in civilian areas. Thus I felt pretty darn safe in calling you a liar, because only an idiot would have claimed that Israel was bombing a Hezbollah installation at the port and airport when it killed all those longshoremen and airport workers, when not even Israel claimed that.
