Oooh, Krugman snarks!

Under Bush, financial policy consisted of Wall Street types cutting sweet deals, at taxpayer expense, for Wall Street types. Under Obama, it’s precisely the reverse.

The original Soviet-era joke, of course, was “Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man. Communism is the reverse.”

  1. Ugh, did you read the comments left at the NYT site? I got through a couple and rolled my eyes in disgust.

Anyway if there is one thing that the right wing weenies are scared of, it's losing control. It's because they don't know just how out of control that they are, that they feel like they have to control everything around them.

  2. Yeah, Krugman has attracted a wingnut infestation lately, reciting the talking points handed down by their Party commissars on hate radio and faux news. Doesn't make his snark any less valid though.

That actually makes sense. Not that I support communism. The best system hasn't been worked out yet.

And America was just another failed experiment.

  5. I don't bother to comment at the NYT (except for Frank Rich's column, because I know approximately when it pops up on the Times' site, which is just after 10 a.m. Sunday morning here. Last week, I had the first comment.) But it takes forever to clear moderation. F@ck that. Krugman had a post about it not long after his blog started, saying the mods were necessary to prevent trolls and flame wars. Nothing prevents troglodyte fuckwits, though.

Ground rules: Comments that consist solely of insults, fact-free talking points, are off-topic, or simply spam the same argument over and over will be deleted. The penguin is the only one allowed to be an ass here. All viewpoints, however, are welcomed, even if I disagree vehemently with you.

WARNING: You are entitled to create your own arguments, but you are NOT entitled to create your own facts. If you spew scientific denialism, or insist that the sky is purple, or otherwise insist that your made-up universe of pink unicorns and cotton candy trees is "real", well -- expect the banhammer.
