John Prine talks about it... in 1970. Nobody listened then. Still ain't listenin'.

In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
The religious right is motivated by the suspicion that someone, somewhere,
is having fun -- and that this must be stopped.
John Prine talks about it... in 1970. Nobody listened then. Still ain't listenin'.

Ground rules: Comments that consist solely of insults, fact-free talking points, are off-topic, or simply spam the same argument over and over will be deleted. The penguin is the only one allowed to be an ass here. All viewpoints, however, are welcomed, even if I disagree vehemently with you.
WARNING: You are entitled to create your own arguments, but you are NOT entitled to create your own facts. If you spew scientific denialism, or insist that the sky is purple, or otherwise insist that your made-up universe of pink unicorns and cotton candy trees is "real", well -- expect the banhammer.
Note: Only a member of this blog may post a comment.
Ain't going to listen either. Kiss your ass goodbye.
ReplyDeleteJohn Prine's first album should be taught in school...
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Bukko. I sort of feel sorry for John, in a way. He wrote one album that was a work of genius, his first, and everything else has been an appendix to that.

what exactly John Prine's saying about clean coal?...
ReplyDeleteThat no matter how clean it might be to burn "clean coal", extracting it from the ground still destroys irreplaceable natural resources. Especially with the current "clear-topping" being done to extract coal, where the entire tops of mountains are shoved into the scenic valleys between mountains to expose the coal undreneath.
ReplyDeleteWatch the video and listen to the song again, 'k?
