Mortality

Fairport Convention, with Sandy Denny singing "Who knows where the time goes". I'm listening to Richard Thompson's electric guitar sort of winding around Sandy's voice in a restrained yet interesting way and thinking of how I'd play that part if I ever were in a band with a singer as strong as Sandy...

  2. Sandy Denny had such a beautiful voice. I loved the Fairport Convention; I used to have their "Leige and Leaf" album. (Not even sure if that's the exact title or spelling.)

    With the music biz being what it is, I'll bet Sandy Denny made more money from her background vocals on Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore" than she did from all of her other work put together.
