The religious right is motivated by the suspicion that someone, somewhere,
is having fun -- and that this must be stopped.
I don't know who is the bigger loser, the dude who turned up the volume on a porn movie so loud that his neighbors could hear the porn star screaming and moaning, or the dude who grabbed a sword and went on a rescue mission to save the lady who was screaming upstairs, breaking in the first dude's door and waving the sword around as he looked for the woman in trouble.
Awe what the heck. Let's make it a tie. They're BOTH Losers of the Day.

I read that story, yesterday, I believe. I thought it was rather odd. As bbc says, "at least the one had good intentions".

ReplyDeleteI vote for the douchebag who was playing the porn too loud, personally. As BBC said, the guy with the sword had good intentions, and the guy playing the porn deserved a nice little scare for playing his porn too loud.

crazy people...just crazy...true story here -- i was walking around campus and when i was next to this dorm, i heard what i thought to be a woman moaning -- then it grew louder -- it was coming frmo an open window...now the guy who i was walking with stated it was a movie and not real...so i asked him how he knew -- lol

My sister and I think the sword guy is pretty brave. Not many people care enough to try to help someone they think is in need. Not many people stand up when they see abuse.

Yeah, like the rest of you, I think the sword guy had his heart in the right place. But dumb. Seriously. A sword. Reminds me of that scene from the first Indiana Jones movie, where a swordsman appears out of the crowd and, waving a sword around, threatens Harrison Ford's character. Indiana calmly pulls his revolver out and shoots the swordsman dead. "Never bring a knife to a gunfight," Indiana snarks. Or something like that.
