Youthful Trance

Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, playing "The Shape is in a Trance". That is some interesting geetar pickin' going on there. I've been experimenting a bit with alternative tunings myself, they're nice for getting a new feel of how a guitar works. Hopefully I'll get around to finishing "No Mercy" soon, it's in dropped-D tuning and takes advantage of its easier mobility on the fretboard...

  1. That was great. I love Sonic Youth. I recognize that song from one of their CDs that I have; I forget which one.

  2. That's actually from Thurston Moore's second solo album, 2008's "Trees Outside the Academy". It of course does sound like Essence Of Sonic Youth, but has a bit of acoustic action on it like this song.

I must have been in a hurry when posting this song because usually I include that sort of info. Oh well!
