Something is going on with Lucinda. She sounds drunk now even when she's sober. Hopefully not something that's fatal...

In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
The religious right is motivated by the suspicion that someone, somewhere,
is having fun -- and that this must be stopped.

Ground rules: Comments that consist solely of insults, fact-free talking points, are off-topic, or simply spam the same argument over and over will be deleted. The penguin is the only one allowed to be an ass here. All viewpoints, however, are welcomed, even if I disagree vehemently with you.
WARNING: You are entitled to create your own arguments, but you are NOT entitled to create your own facts. If you spew scientific denialism, or insist that the sky is purple, or otherwise insist that your made-up universe of pink unicorns and cotton candy trees is "real", well -- expect the banhammer.

I gave it about 1:15 and gave up. Most boring damned thing I've heard in a long, long time.
ReplyDeleteAnd she does sound drunk. That is worrying. I wonder if she has some serious medical problem.
Alas,

Turns out Lucinda was born with spina bifida. The pain gets worse as you age and the spine breaks down the way it normally does. Makes you wonder what kind of pain she's in, and what medication she's taking to deal with it.
ReplyDeleteJust speculating, of course. But she definitely does not sound right. True, she's 59 years old and thus has a right to sound a bit tired, but this is worrying.
Oh, about the album -- like you, I found it largely underwhelming. But I could not justifiably omit mentioning it on the blog, for reasons of being a fan...
