Saw this on another blog I frequent, and had to snag it. This is Edie Brickell on her new self-titled album, with her song "Pill".

In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
The religious right is motivated by the suspicion that someone, somewhere,
is having fun -- and that this must be stopped.

Ground rules: Comments that consist solely of insults, fact-free talking points, are off-topic, or simply spam the same argument over and over will be deleted. The penguin is the only one allowed to be an ass here. All viewpoints, however, are welcomed, even if I disagree vehemently with you.
WARNING: You are entitled to create your own arguments, but you are NOT entitled to create your own facts. If you spew scientific denialism, or insist that the sky is purple, or otherwise insist that your made-up universe of pink unicorns and cotton candy trees is "real", well -- expect the banhammer.

ReplyDeleteCool. I'm reminded of the Austin Lounge Lizards in The Drugs I Need. (Here's a live performance but for one rare time it's not as good as the animated recording linked above.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, Steve, I should have figured that the Lounge Lizards would have taken their turn at bat, it's like throwing a 60mph changeup through the middle of the zone, it doesn't exactly take Manny Ramirez to hit it out of the park :).
ReplyDeleteMontag, Mother has a *lot* of little helpers today. Just ask Rush Limpdick, who was probably the model for the video above :).
