Up early...

Gotta take the kittehs to the kitteh doctor for their yearly shots. Wish me luck. If you don't hear from me, check the local hospital emergency rooms for a penguin being patched up with hundreds of stitches.

  1. As someone else owned by felines, good luck.
(I actually take mine at separate times- I'm not brave enough to take both at once!)

  2. OH GOOD LUCK, DUDE!

We've got two, and one at a time going in is plenty.

  3. Just schedule a blood donation for afterwards . The Tech can choose from the available kitteh induced holes . Saves time and trouble !

  4. I survived, as you can see from the post above this one :-). Only a few feathers ruffled. I made sure to wear old clothes, they were covered with fur at the end (I'm convinced that my cats do projectile shedding when they're under stress), but that's why I changed them out for my work clothes once I was back home and the kibble monsters were busy on the kibble (I didn't feed them last night to keep them from puking all over the kitty carriers this morning).

Sad to say, Mencken needs a minor surgical procedure next week. His general sour disposition means he needs some blood work and some tooth cleaning (because he pukes every time he sees something disgusting that he doesn't like, which means he pukes a *lot*, H.L. simply doesn't like the modern world very much). So next week I get to take him in early in the morning, and pick him up in the afternoon after the procedure. Hopefully there will be no problem other than dirty teeth and a general sour disposition!

  5. Had a male cat once that got " urinary tract blockage " from too much " Friskies " cat food according to the vet . Cost $450 . at the time ( mid 80's) and they re-plumbed the poor guy . Cut off his male parts and created a new outlet to pee . He had come close to dying from the blockage and lived many more years after replumbing . Poor Guy had to squat to pee the rest of his days . I hear that is " minor surgery " now . I sure hope your buddies are OK , glad you made it back too .
Cats going traveling in the rain ??? UGH !!!

  6. They didn't mind the rain, it was the ride in the Jeep that had them howling at the top of their very considerable lungs...

  7. My biggest monthly fear is putting flea meds on my two cats. I have to held them down and wrap them in a towel and wear Playtex rubber gloves. But first I gotta hunt them down because they know the sound of the breaking aluminum foil around the medication! My heart races and truly I am afeared.
