The Mighty Fang encounters the Drinkwell Platinum Pro

Well, it came today. I hooked it all up and got it bubbling away and then The Mighty Fang started playing with it. I adjusted the flow so it was a fairly low flow like he's used to from the water faucet in the lavatory, and he started poking at it to see what this thing was. He figured out that it was water and it was wet. He sniffs... And he drinks! Finally he got tired of playing with the water, and just drank water like a regular cat. No, I don't spoil or overindulge my babies, not at all :-).

  1. How does the other cat handle it ?
Neither of my cats are splashers although one is part of a breed (Turkish Van) that has been known to swim . She didn't get that gene , she got the " I am a Princess " gene instead . Little did I know the trouble such a small , lost , fur ball could provide . Both my cats seem to love drinking out of the dogs wading pool . I think the Goldfish that swim in it has something to do with it . I see them out there dreaming of fish to be caught .

  2. Mencken just says "meh" and treats it as a regular old water dish. After his initial experiments, The Mighty Fang has settled down to treating it like a regular old water dish too -- he just had to experiment with it first to figure out WTF it was :).
