168 emails

That is how many were in my inbox this morning. Each had to be read and an action taken regarding the contents of the email, even if the action was as simple as "file this in the defects bin". There were six emails which required significant research and analysis, averaging about an hour apiece, in order to provide guidance to the personnel involved in those particular projects.

Needless to say, my eyes are a bit bleary now and my fingers tired. Oh well, it pays the freight for the expeditions into the desert, so what can I say?!

  1. 168 hey? I get about that many also, and delete most without looking at them.

  2. That's because all you get is spam, BBC. I'm talking about work emails from my co-workers. Since you're retard -- oops, retired, sorry, my Southern accent at work -- you don't have to worry about that.

Ground rules: Comments that consist solely of insults, fact-free talking points, are off-topic, or simply spam the same argument over and over will be deleted. The penguin is the only one allowed to be an ass here. All viewpoints, however, are welcomed, even if I disagree vehemently with you.

WARNING: You are entitled to create your own arguments, but you are NOT entitled to create your own facts. If you spew scientific denialism, or insist that the sky is purple, or otherwise insist that your made-up universe of pink unicorns and cotton candy trees is "real", well -- expect the banhammer.
