Update: they're safe

Everybody I know got through this one okay. Lots of wind, lots of rain, and a day without power and with spotty phone service (they seem to be able to make outgoing calls fine, but incoming calls disappear into the twilight zone), but no damage to their homes or to life and limb.

  1. I'm still waiting to hear from my mother who stayed with Red Cross. I'm glad all your loved ones and friends are o.k. I know how heart-wrenching it is trying to find everyone again after a hurricane.

  2. glad to hear your family made it.. I feel for those whose families didn't.. alternative media coverage seems spotty for Rita.. any thoughts?
