While hiking yesterday I crossed over a pool of water on a small wooden bridge. I noticed a ripple of motion, and saw this salamander doing his best to snarf down a bug. There was also another salamander in this pool, but I did not get a good photo of that one because it kept to the brush at the far end of the pool.
The knees are only slightly sore this morning, should be good as new by tomorrow. All in all, I feel pretty good for an elderly penguin who did more miles yesterday than was probably wise at this point in my recovery...
