Southern love

The Drive-by Truckers with "God Damn Lonely Love". Southern-fried country-rock, y'all.

Yeah, Patterson Hood ain't as purty as the singers for the last week's worth of tunes, but he can damn well write some fine songs.

  1. Agreed, amazing song...though I believe songwriting credits for this one go to Isbell. Both men are amazing songwriters and storytellers.

  2. Erk, you're right, this is an Isbell song. I don't know why I had Hood on my mind when I was making this post, when I knew darn well it was an Isbell song. I blame the hour of the night :). (I don't actually stay up to 1AM to find music videos for the next day, I queue them up... but maybe this was one night that I did :).
