Yeah, Patterson Hood ain't as purty as the singers for the last week's worth of tunes, but he can damn well write some fine songs.

Ground rules: Comments that consist solely of insults, fact-free talking points, are off-topic, or simply spam the same argument over and over will be deleted. The penguin is the only one allowed to be an ass here. All viewpoints, however, are welcomed, even if I disagree vehemently with you.
WARNING: You are entitled to create your own arguments, but you are NOT entitled to create your own facts. If you spew scientific denialism, or insist that the sky is purple, or otherwise insist that your made-up universe of pink unicorns and cotton candy trees is "real", well -- expect the banhammer.

Agreed, amazing song...though I believe songwriting credits for this one go to Isbell. Both men are amazing songwriters and storytellers.
ReplyDeleteErk, you're right, this is an Isbell song. I don't know why I had Hood on my mind when I was making this post, when I knew darn well it was an Isbell song. I blame the hour of the night :). (I don't actually stay up to 1AM to find music videos for the next day, I queue them up... but maybe this was one night that I did :).
