Old hippy

Who is James McMurtry, what is this song named "Down Across the Delaware", and what is that album Where'd You Hide the Body? In a better world you would know the answer to those questions without having to Google the answer.

  2. Ah, Tux.

Mr. McMurtry lives about two blocks from me. He is a strange cat and a very good songwriter. Underground Austin celebrity musician type, and of course his dad was Larry "Lonesome Dove" McMurtry.

  3. James McMurtry is one of the best story teller out there. He picks up where John Prine left off. That title song on the cd Where'd You Hide the Body is a great relationship song. Go to Youtube and listen to We Can't Make It Here or Ruby and Carlos. The man can write. I'd have a hard time picking a favorite cd of his as they're all good.
