Yeah yeah, another year
So 2007 was the year that the Democrats refused to do what they were elected to do -- end the war in Iraq. 2008... well, once the next set of ARM resets happens, I figure the only reason I'll have a job is because most of our sales are into Europe. The American dollar collapsing because the U.S. Treasury is frantically pumping out dollar bills with all the frantic avacity of the Weimar Republic finance ministry means that everything we import (which is pretty much everything nowdays) will be fantastically expensive, but makes the few things we export cheap, so I guess that works out for those few of us making the few things we export... as for you: you won't have to worry about being overweight soon enough. Starvation in America will not be a rarity soon.

It's time for the Dems, particularly in the Sentate, to grow a pair. Push for what they know is right and if the Repubs want to filibuster, make 'em do it the old fashioned way. Make 'em stand up there and blatantly block the vote. Then play their babbling on the news night after night. Quote them in every media source possible. Tie the millstone of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney around their necks.

An stunningly crushing defeat in November is the only thing that bring the GOP back to its old conservative roots, as compared to the whack-job, f*** the country, neo-conservative position they currently occupy.
