It'...This isn't Halou's best song, even. It's just the one that happened to come up in rotation. They were good. Stripmall Architecture, the latest incarnation of the lead singer and lead guitarist of this band, is good too, but a different sound.

I must admit that I have eclectic tastes. Townes van Zandt singing a mournful mountain tune, followed by a dream pop group? So I can see why you might be reluctant to listen to just any song I post here. But everything I put up here is something that I like. It might be from some band that only five people have heard of. It might be some girl in France whose video has 8 hits on Youtube, for that matter. But one thing I will guarantee you is that you will not find music that sucks here. Music that maybe doesn't quite hit the mark, but if you want to hear music that sucks, turn on your radio :).

- Badtux the Music PenguinBadTuxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01345749557330760251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9612609.post-63289349896982796112010-11-22T22:12:15.856-08:002010-11-22T22:12:15.856-08:00Wow. Just, plain... Wow!
But I have to confess, I...Wow. Just, plain... Wow!

But I have to confess, I've got this real bad habit when it comes to your blog. I skip over an awful lot of your music selections when I don't recognize the band or artist. Being a musician myself, this is probably a sin of the first order. When you post something by someone I know and like, usually, I'm right there, loving every second of it. But I really need to break this bad habit of mine and check out stuff that is all new to me. I went out of character and did so for Halou, and I'm glad I did. This particular song reminds me of Portishead, Sneaker Pimps, Norah Jones, and Gong -- that's a lovely blend in my book.

Thank you...Jim Yeagerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14614500796136679068noreply@blogger.com
