Talkin' about guns

This is one of those conversations that is a no-win. Some folks like their guns. They like stroking their guns. They like waving their guns around and feeling the breeze on their guns. They don't feel like a man unless they have their gun close at hand. And that's their right as an American, to love their guns. So what. I really don't care as long as they don't wave their gun in my direction -- I don't bend that way, if ya know what I mean.

    You read different blogs than I do. You see any gunnutz chortling about how wonderful it is that people in Libya are using "Second Amendment remedies" to overthrow a tyrannical government, the way the gunnutz fantasize about doing themselves? (Only I don't think their fantasies include their pudgy white bodies getting literally blown in half by anti-aircraft cannons mounted on the back of Jeeps and deployed against protestors by said tyrannical regime.)

    Well said, Pengy... it is a love that makes no sense, has no rational explanation in this supposedly modern day and age. I liked a recent commentary that posited if the gun lovers keep using the Second Amendment argument to justify their weapons lust, they should gor for it. However, they must be limited to using only muskets with black powder, just like the Founding Fathers. heh heh heh.

    I tried to figger it out in a recent blog posting, would love to know what you think.
